Winter Break

Every year on the first weekend in December, as the chill of winter begins to embrace northern climes and New England waterfronts grow vacant, the docks at Key Largo’s Ocean Reef Club  begin to fill with some of the most beautiful classic boats around.

Ocean Reef’s Vintage Weekend is a concours d’élégance for the best of the best of all things classic, with some of the most beautiful vintage boats, cars, and airplanes around (Yes, airplanes. Ocean Reef has its own private airport) on display for guests and visitors to ogle. Just a few of the nautical entries on display at last year’s event were the presidential yacht Honey Fitz, a 1931 Defoe, the 1964 Hunt-designed Stingray (which graced the cover of Power & Motoryacht’s July 2013 issue), and Posh, a gorgeous 1937 53-foot Huskins.
