What do Tom Waits, Frank Zappa, Johnny Depp, Keith Richards, and Iggy Pop have in common? Other than leading lives that are way cooler than mine, they also all lend their voices to the new album Son of Rogues Gallery: Pirate Ballads, Sea Songs and Chanteys, out now. Depp and Pirates of the Caribbean director Gore Verbinski spearheaded the project (their second album—the first, Rogues Gallery, was released in 2006). Click the video link below to get an early listen to a track off the album (“Shenandoah” as sung by Tom Waits with Keith Richards), or pick it up on Amazon or iTunes starting February 19. And the next time you’re knocking back a few around the galley after a day of cruising, you can have a listen.
