A clear, plastic container that holds coolant after it has heated and expanded, preventing it from leaking into the bilge. When the engine cools, the coolant contracts and is drawn back into the engine. It is almost always on a bulkhead near the front of the engine and connected to the radiator cap by a clear plastic tube.
