Newly launched as part of the Amer series from Permare is the Amer Cento, a 100-foot yacht that takes the classic American pilothouse motoryacht and gives it an Italian flavor. Combined with the wide beam, the Cento has a spacious full-beam owner’s suite.

Permare was founded by Fernando Amerio in 1973, and his production has grown to include the Amer series with the European-styled express 72, an 86 and a 92 each adorned with a flying bridge, and the enclosed pilothouse 116. In addition to new yacht production, Permare operates the Cantieri del Mediterraneo shipyard in San Remo for repairs and refits.

The new Amer Cento uses compact V-drives to reduce the space needed for the engine room and allowing up to five guest staterooms and three separate crew cabins. Several innovative options are available, including balconies, a bow swimming pool, and outdoor access from the wheelhouse via a gull-wing door.

Powered by either MTU or Caterpillar diesels, the Amer Cento is designed to be run on one engine continuously, giving a speed of 12 knots and a fuel consumption of just 0.24 gallons per nautical mile. With both engines on line, the top speed is 29 knots with the Cat C32 diesels.
