Looks like Lebron James isn’t the only one taking dives during this year’s NBA playoffs. While the Miami Heat may have tied up the championship series against the San Antonio Spurs last night, their fans went down—literally. As the crowd at Miami’s Shuckers Bar & Grill rose to their feet to cheer a Miami Heat basket, the outside deck collapsed, sending approximately 100 patrons into the water off the 79th street causeway, according to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue. While there were no fatalities, two people are reported in critical condition, and another 31 were reported injured—24 had to be taken to the hospital. Miami Heat star Dwayne Wade expressed his condolences prior to beginning his postgame interview, saying “I'd like to share our concerns as an organization and our gratitude to our fans back in Miami, but share our concerns for all that were injured tonight at Shuckers restaurant.” The exact cause of the collapse is not yet known.
