Gage Storm Surge Jacket

Gage Storm Surge Jacket

The Storm Surge from Gründens’s Gage technical line was the most basic of the jackets that we tested, and we don’t mean that in a bad way at all. It’s a 2.5-layer lightweight shell made with heavy-duty waterproof nylon that’s breathable and comfortable, stows easily, and features the Gage Halo Hood system. This jacket has an outer layer, blocking wind, rain, and spray, but warmth will need to be provided by the layers worn under it. If there’s a jacket in our test built for one of those early evening Florida deluges that seem to come like clockwork on a steamy day in the Keys, this is it.
