The Runabout: Corsair 28
One of the biggest questions a boater faces when buying one of Chris-Craft’s smaller runabouts is whether he or she wants an open bow that offers additional seating, or an enclosed bow that features a small cabin. The seating, for many, is probably the more practical option when you consider how these boats are going to be used, but since when has practicality ever been the driving factor when choosing your next boat? The closed bow offers a classic Chris-Craft look that’s hard to beat.
Perhaps that’s why I was immediately attracted to the Corsair 28. She’s quick—43 knots quick—and has enough space for a few friends to stretch out and soak up some sun. And with her metallic-blue hull and teak details, she looks great on the water. Sounds like a triple threat to me.
