Immigration Doesn't Take American Express Page 2
Making sure your crewmembers have the proper visa documents is essential in maintaining a well-run yacht. If one of them doesn't, you may have to quickly substitute a crewmember untrained in the ways of your vessel, which can both burden the rest of the crew and add risk to your onboard operations. A little forethought in obtaining the appropriate visas will help the boat operate more smoothly

Who fights the flames and who administers any necessary first aid? Well, if your crew has studied

Power & Motoryacht's editor-in-chief, Capt. Richard Thiel, is a pretty modest guy. To quote the bumbling Col. Wilhelm Klink of Hogan's Heroes: "It’s zee Germans!" Thirteen German shipyards built more than one-third—34!—of the boats on the Power & Motoryacht 100, and 13 of those are ranked in the top 20. A distant second, Holland, has 22 boats from seven shipyards on our list. Combined, nearly 60 percent of the Power & Motoryacht 100 potentially
Fine Focus
As a young girl Janet Germano was captivated by the photos she saw in her father's hobby room and asked him to teach her the craft. Years later her interest reignited when she dropped out of a master's program in counseling, enrolled in photography school, and opened a studio. For 30 years she photographed weddings and models and, like her father, taught photography to others.

And the Winner Is...
Congratulations to our neighbors to the north, Dave and Don Young, brothers who were looking to tag team on a boat test. They are the PMY "I Want to Test a Boat" winners. Allegedly, they're both experienced boaters: Dave has skippered charter vessels, and Don is a lifelong dock rat, doing everything from pumping gas and working on motors to selling bait and boats. Dave wrote the letter and
