World’s 100 Largest Yachts 2008 #27: Alysia

#27: ALYSIA—279'8"

With a nearly one-to-one guest-to-crew ratio, Alysia ensures charter guests are pampered to the max. That's why she's able to demand—and get—weekly rates ranging from €434,000 to €696,500 plus expenses. What are "expenses"? Things like champagnes and premium alcohol, harbor and agency fees, and of course gratuities. Those exclusions are typical, as one charter party might want to cover long distances and therefore burn a lot of fuel, while another might want to visit Sardinia, where yachts are required to pay outrageous taxes for each day they're docked. But frankly, who needs Sardinia, given that Alysia features a 1,300-square-foot master suite with panoramic views, a library/cinema with a 100-inch TV and Surround Sound, a beauty salon and massage room, a wine "cellar" stocked with 500 of the best vintages, and pantries on all decks?
