Some people mistakenly believe this yacht is owned by someone affiliated with the famed TV and radio shows by the same name. While the producer of those programs did own a yacht, it was many years ago—and besides, the boat was nowhere near this former salvage tug’s size. This Lone Ranger is owned by Peter Lewis, the enterprising, eccentric founder of Progressive insurance company and generous philanthropist. Around the time you’re reading this, you should be able to pick up a copy of a book all about her, entitled The Lone Ranger Story: From Salvage Tug to Super Yacht.
