Historically speaking, in the military a scout needs to be a few things: smart, fast, and tough. He also needs to be able to do more with less since by definition he’s usually far away from supply lines. It’s safe to say then, that Scout Boats are appropriately named, and there may be no better evidence of this than the new 320 LXF.

The boat is equipped with a technologically advanced CZone electronic digital-switching system. That system is renowned for ease of installation and integration—it’s compliant with the NMEA 2000 network protocol. It also comes with a key fob that can control the different electrical systems of the boat remotely at the push of a button.

Other onboard amenities include a Fusion stereo system, tackle drawers, cup holders, rod holders, and a fiberglass leaning post with a built-in livewell. Optional forward seating is available in the bow, complete with extra stowage underneath.

The 320 LXF also has a very interesting hullform, the high-performance, fuel-efficient Nu-V3 design. It’s made to get you as far as possible on as little fuel as possible—and with good seakeeping ability as well. You’ll appreciate that seakindliness too, since with twin 350-horsepower Yamaha outboards the 32-foot 3-inch boat can get up to a rollicking 49 knots at WOT, according to the builder. And those high speeds make total sense. Because when you’re a Scout, you need to be able to get out ahead of everyone else.
