We tracked down the inside scoop on what boatbuilders are up to next.
After a freak accident at the 2014 Lauderdale show (a display fell on her head), Horizon marketing maven Elise Moffitt was feeling particularly talkative about the company’s 84, which will debut in Miami. All I had to do was ask her what she liked about the boat. She took a deep breath, and then these words flew out of her mouth at warp speed, “Oh we decked that boat out! It’s got zero-speed stabilizers, a high-low swim platform, it has four staterooms and the interior was done by our in-house design team. There’s nice, rich walnut all over, custom navigation equipment, bow and stern thrusters, an upgraded davit, an upgraded sanitation system, and an open bridge with air conditioning. It’s got a nice wet bar up there with a grill too. The last few years we’ve had owners go for more and more open bridges, and I don’t blame them. I really like this boat, can you tell?”
Maybe it was the medication talking? Either way, feel better Elise!
