Azimut 43 Atlantis

Koenig’s First Take:
This 43 has big-boat luxury in a relatively small package—and she’s got ambition written all over her.

It doesn’t matter who you are or what size boat you own, everybody wants those extra luxurious touches that make their boat feel special. Azimut understands this. And that’s why with its new 43 Atlantis, which debuted at this year’s DÜsseldorf show, Azimut also launched its Grandi Firme project, which gives owners of smaller vessels the option to kit out their interiors just like some of the largest, most luxurious boats in the Azimut line. To that end Azimut has paired with top brands like Loro Piana and Missoni Home to make sure this 43’s interior décor can hold its own in any port from Sag Harbor to Saint-Tropez.

But this boat’s not simply about interior design. She’s got some serious performance attributes as well. A variable-V hull slices through the waves with ease and twin 400-horsepower Volvo Penta D6s with stern drives shoot the Atlantis across the water at upwards of 35 knots—a more than respectable top end, especially considering the sturdy, balsa-cored boat displaces a relatively hefty 13.7 tons at full load.

With performance attributes like that, and interior elegance that’s in line with some of the finest Italian yachts on the water, the Azimut 43 Atlantis is a boat you should give serious consideration to.
