Capt. Richard Thiel walks us through the newest marine propulsion systems.
I envy the guys who cover electronics because they always seem to have a steady stream of new stuff to write about. With engines, not so much. Indeed, it’s feast or famine, especially at boat-show time. Either there’s so much new there isn’t space to cover everything or the pickin’s are so slim the “big news” is that some assistant manager of parts and distribution got promoted. The recent Miami show was a case of feast. It took me two days to cover all the new products. Here is the engine news from Miami 2015.
It will be interesting to watch these products compete with one another in the coming months and years because when engine manufacturers compete it’s we boaters who usually win.
