Last week, I wrote about my father's yacht spotting shutterbug ways and asked which boats you'd seen recently. Almost immediately after hitting "Post" my inbox pinged with a note from Capt. Bill Pike. He'd spotted a couple while working hard on Italy's Amalfi coast reporting on the Maestro 82 for an upcoming issue.
There was the 197-foot Paloma with her beautiful rounded stern:
And the 287-foot Arctic P, which was No. 34 on The PMY 100 last year. Any guesses how far she's fallen this year?
Though her ice-class hull may not be classically beautiful, the destinations she can reach definitely will be. (I'm currently obsessed with Norway's fjords as a charter destination.)
