The dealers that were aboard for the ride nodded in approval as the 270 flew over another boat’s wake as if it had been a ripple. Throttling back slightly we carved a quick and smooth U-turn and headed back to the dock. Our ride would end all too soon but there was a long line of dealers waiting under a scorching Florida sun waiting for their turn.
In the short time I was aboard the 270, it made quite an impression. The expansive helm with space for multiple MFDs, smartly placed live wells, and ample rod stowage paid homage to its fish-chasing heritage. Nearly seven feet of headroom in the head, fold out backrests that transform the settees forward to a sun lounge, and sufficient stowage room showed that this boat can perform double-duty as a fun day boat.
If asked if there is anything I would change about the 270 CC, I would have to shake my head and say matter-of-factly “nope.”
