It seems every week I am getting another announcement of a Heesen launch or contract signed. It's great news.
This past week they launched the 50-meter (164-foot) Satori, which is the enlightenment that is the first step to Nirvana in the Zen Buddhist tradition. At just under 500 gross tons, she has a top speed of 24 knots (27.6 mph), which will make it easy to marina-hop.
French designer Rémi Tessier created a sleek and elegant interior (that I would never drink a glass of red wine in. I mean, check out all that white.) In the main saloon, the dining table can be lowered to create a more casual dining environment.
Satori will spend March in the North Sea for her sea trials before delivery to her owners in April.
This photo, taken seconds before she hit the water, seems to be a moment of inhale.
I wonder if it ever gets easier to watch a megayacht hit water for the first time.
