After getting weathered out on day one, the group started off their first day of fishing with a bang, bringing a 65-pound yellowfin—the heaviest fish of the day—to the scales. Points for team Viking! Blinky III’s second day wasn’t as successful, however; their 49-pound yellowfin weighed in one pound shy of the minimum required for earning team points. And, as if that wasn’t enough of a stinger, after catching two of the four tuna brought to the scales for the entire tournament, Blinky’s crew lost the top spot (and Calcutta) to a 145-pounder. In the end though, things weren’t all bitter: The team was satisfied with catching the second heaviest tuna and second combined-weight tuna. Way to go!
