Photo by Jerry Sword from the 47-foot Bayliner Jericho
“This picture was taken from York Island, about two thirds of the way up Vancouver Island on the Inside Passage. My wife Tanya and I have been traveling the Inside Passage since 1968. This was our 44th trip, and we’ve only visited York Island two times due to weather, water, and time constraints. I felt I had to take this photo as the Inside Passage is rarely this calm. We travel back and forth in our 47-foot Bayliner pilothouse, which we anchor about 10 nautical miles to the east in a place called Forward Harbor. We tow a 17-foot Boston Whaler behind for exploring and fishing in Alaska.”
