Feadship Air

Feadship is comprised of the De Vries and Van Lent shipyard, and in some amazing serendipity, both high-profile yards launched yachts this past Saturday, March 26. Together, the yachts totaled 158.7 meters (520.6 feet).

Hull No. 682, now christened Air (not to be confused with Heesen's recently launched Air), was under construction when I visited the De Vries shipyard last June. At 81 meters (265 feet), she was the largest under construction at the time. Her matte black exterior is actually the precise shade of Harley-Davison black and accentuates her straight lines .

Air will be available for charter through Edmiston and will probably garner a lot of attention with a Jacuzzi and 102-inch pop up TV on the sundeck as well as a swim platform with a wet bar.

Over at Royal Van Lent, the more secretive 77-meter (255-foot) Hull No. 802 launched. Feadship wasn't even able to release her name. But keep an out on the seas for her two-tone exterior and sweeping
