Bienvenido a Miami
There’s something (and some boat) for everyone in the Magic City.
Here’s our guide for how to do the 2014 Miami shows right.
The Yacht and Brokerage Show in Miami Beach and the Miami International Boat Show combine to make up one of the largest displays of boats and marine gear in the world. And the huge crowds of visitors are looking to have a good time, as the shows take on the sizzling personality and flavor of their host city.
Every year multitudes of show-goers converge on the docks along Collins Avenue and at Sea Isle Marina to ogle the vast expanse of boats and yachts lined up there. Some are merely window-shopping. Some come to snap up a new center console. Others are there for a 60- to 70-foot cruising yacht. And a rarefied few are there to take home a new megayacht. You get it all in Miami: tons of excitement, lots of boats, and maybe more sun (and sometimes fun) than you can handle.
At Power & Motoryacht we look forward to visiting Miami. In this section our editors compiled all you need to know to make the most of your boat-show experience: new launches and the latest models from your favorite builders, insight into the used-boat market, and advice from locals and boat-show veterans about what to do when the sun goes down. These shows offer tremendous variety—there’s something for everyone in Miami.
