We’re sitting in a London hotel lounge and Peter Boyce, Hunt’s senior designer, turned to me and said, “You know, that 38 with the 375-horsepower 3208s was pure Hunt.” C. Raymond Hunt Associates was responsible for the naval engineering of the the Eastbay line of Grand Banks. (The late Dick Loh, former VP of Grand Banks, conceptulaized the boat along with his son Rick.) She was a tad on the heavy side, which in my opinion made her a great sea boat.
