Palm Beach Motor Yachts PB45
There’s no two ways around it. The PB45 from Palm Beach Motor Yachts is a looker, plain and simple. With available bronze hull paint and lines that are at once classic and sleek, this is a boat that people will openly gawk at.
However, her beauty is not skin deep. The PB45 benefits from a composite construction that makes her very light, displacing only 24,500 pounds. This light weight combines with her slippery, warped-shaped hull to make her very fuel efficient and sea kindly, burning only about 16 gallons per hour at a healthy cruise of 20 knots. Not only that, but her twin Volvo IPS400s can also get her up to 25 knots on the pins if need be.
The boat, which Palm Beach describes as semi-custom, comes with either one or two cabins, a choice that allows owners lots of latitude when piecing together their ideal vessel. The boat is available with what Palm Beach refers to as a “teak-dominated traditional fit” that should doubly impress as far as aesthetics go.
Oftentimes, things this beautiful can be perceived as invaluable. However the PB45 has one more trick up her sleeve, a relatively modest $1.2 million price tag that makes her a bit easier on the wallet than some of her competitors. And that just might help you make sure this beauty doesn’t become the one that got away.
