Prestige 550 Flybridge

Prestige 550 FlybridgeOftentimes attempts to modernize aesthetics result in some head-scratching outcomes. Think for example of 1970s-era architecture or the ever-forward world of modern art. However, sometimes when designers seek to modernize their work, the end product can become something quite lovely. Such is the case with the 550 Flybridge from Prestige, a boat that enjoys all the spoils of modern design put to good use.

The boat’s elongated profile and relatively low flying bridge give her unarguably sleek lines that, coupled with a cream-and-tan exterior color scheme, will make her extremely appealing to the eye whether at the docks or out on the water.

Inside, a contemporary layout includes a galley that opens up into a roomy saloon, making the boat ideal for entertaining. Guests can enjoy the fruits of the galley at a dining settee to port that seats six or at two more settees set up in the cockpit and on the bridge. That bridge also features a sunpad, as well as a helm with purportedly excellent sightlines.

With her twin 600-hp Cummins QSC8.3’s motoring below, the boat can hit a top hop of 30 knots if need be, but is much more comfortable at a respectable cruise speed of 24 knots. But no matter what speed you choose to run this beauty at, one thing is for sure—she’s not going to leave anybody scratching their head.
