Installing a Cockpit Drawer Refrigerator - step 4
Wiring was simple. The fridge draws 3.3 amps at 12 volts DC. It’s 20-feet to the breaker panel, so we had 40 feet of wire run when adding both positive and negative wires. There was no voltage-drop issue. ABYC specifies that most current-carrying conductors are at least 16 gauge— more than adequate here. We used high-temperature, PVC-jacketed wire secured along its length.
