Cummins Power Generation, manufacturer of Onan brand marine gensets, has expanded its range of e-QD (electronic Quiet Diesel) series digital gensets, which it claims are the quietest in the industry. The series includes eight models from 4 to 27.5 kW.

These are the first digital gensets in the industry, according to the company. The digital display, which monitors the genset’s operation and alerts the user to potential problems reportedly, has the ability to display as many as 28 fault and warning codes, which allows owners to diagnose and fix many troubles. Onan says the information the diagnostic indicator provides can make the difference between enjoying a weekend outing and waiting for a service call.
