Light Special "Always
Prepared" is the motto of the U.S. Coast Guard, and it perfectly
describes a search wherein Lifeboat Station Juneau received an EPIRB
signal, launched its boat, and homed in on the beacon--only
to discover it was ashore. More to the point, the crew finally arrived
in front of a marine store, where a red-faced employee told them
he had inadvertently activated the unit. The Coasties were once
again Semper Paratus, even if the emergency was in aisle seven.
