Here’s a new way to tidy up an overcrowded helm, or helms. Standard Horizon is capitalizing on its full-function (even power) RAM+ mics with two black-box VHFs. Either box can be installed out of sight most anywhere. The $367 Phantom PS1000 (shown) is the equivalent of a Matrix without a face but with an included black or white RAM+. The $550 PS2000 has the guts of a Quantum—which means Class D DSC and a 30-watt hailer/fog horn—and will support one or two $120 RAMs, including intercom.
