Chances are if you've seen a yacht go by, then you've taken a gander at a KVH dome on top, typically used for satellite TV and Internet access onboard. Looking to hit the trifecta in satellite services, KVH is adding communications to its stable of offerings.

KVH buys airtime at a wholesale rate through Inmarsat, and then offers its own branded service. Phone--or "voice"--is said to cost about $2.75 per minute in North America. KVH says you can sign up for this service when purchasing satcom hardware--even a competitor's hardware.
