When you’re using tools on boats, there’s always a risk of losing them to the deep blue sea. But maybe not anymore, thanks to Fastening Solutions’ Tool Leash. This useful little gem utilizes a common carabiner snap hook, two plastic-coiled leashes, and a set of nylon tool rings that attach to hand or power tools or anything weighing up to 30 pounds.

The five-inch-long coiled leash stretches to four feet. One end of the leash attaches with swivel snap hooks to special ties for the tools; the hooks prevent tangling and should make switching to different tools easy. The other end of the leash secures to the carabiner, which can be hooked to a belt loop, bowrail, cleat, or just about anything else.

Retailing at $9.99, the Tool Leash is a good gizmo to keep in your toolbox.
