Marinco Horn By Capt. Patrick Sciacca — December 2002 |
||||||||||||||||||||
Horns are essential tools for informing nearby boaters of your location and intent, and the louder the horn, the clearer you're heard. Marinco and its AFI division have developed a horn that seems to offer rock-concert-like volume. The Drop-In Hidden Horn Model 11080 is said to generate 111 dBs (65 dB is the level of normal conversation), yet its size is thankfully small: It measures just 33⁄8"Hx51⁄4"Wx3⁄4"D, which should make for easy mounting. To help it blend in with your boat, AFI offers the 11080 with white, off-white, black, or stainless steel grills. The Drop-In Hidden Horn is available through most marine accessory retailers. Pricing was not available at presstime. Marinco Phone: (707) 226-9600. Fax: (707) 226-9670. www.marinco.com. |
