Time has had the same owner, from Chicago, since launch and is "seriously for sale," according to ads, for just shy of $5.5 million. She cruises at 26 knots and has transatlantic range. The intrepid cruisers who made their expedition yacht available to equally intrepid charterers over the past few years sold her to another American. This was the largest American-owned aluminum-hulled motoryacht when she was built. She belongs to the same Midwesterner who took delivery of the 156-foot Anson Bell, built by from Palmer Johnson, earlier this year. "Kakapo" is a type of rare bird. The ex-Fifty One, famed for her creamy, vanilla-tone exterior paint job, is in the hands of new owners. We've heard that these owners also had her get a new paint job, but we haven't seen any photos to prove what the color is. A New Yorker is wrapping up his first full year of cruising aboard this lady, which features cherry paneling inside. She might fool you into thinking she's actually a classic yacht, since her styling is reminiscent of the early 20th century. She's for sale for $10.9 million.
