100 Largest Yachts 2009 #78: Martha Ann

Martha Ann | 229'6" ( 67 ) ( tie )

Martha Ann’s a globe-trotter of the first order. Since her launch in December 2007, she’s already made landfall in a host of palm-fringed ports in the Bahamas and western Caribbean. One of her most spottable attributes is her striking blue hull, a color not shared by sisterships Apoise (89) and St. Nicolas (78). As for her interior, it’s extraordinarily spacious (thanks to her 42-foot beam) and classically styled (thanks to Francois Zuretti). It features a central glass elevator that ascends from the lower (crew) deck through four of the yacht’s five decks. Then there are the 1,400-square-foot master suite, authentic sports bar, and fully-equipped gym, as well as at-anchor stabilization, a slew of watertoys, and helicopter capability during charters. However, some of the 20 regular crewmembers we’ve talked to are quicker to tout the culinary splendors of life onboard, thanks to a super-talented chef and sous chef. Where are you likely to find Martha Ann this month?

Try Antibes, Monaco, Sardinia, or La Ciotat.
