America's 100 Largest Yachts 2008 #39: Lady J

#39: LADY J—162'6"

Between conflicting anecdotal evidence and Coast Guard records, getting this yacht’s LOA straight has been a challenge. For years we had her at 185 feet LOA, but someone told us she was stretched to 190 feet-around the same time that we saw her listed at 162'6'' in Coast Guard documentation. Turns out the Coast Guard confused her LWL with her LOA. Now that that’s settled, we can tell you the owner is indeed American and spends time in Switzerland and Thailand when not aboard the yacht.
