Liz grew up on boats, spending summers living aboard a 41-foot Viking convertible, 36-foot Hatteras, and other boats with her family and cruising all over New England, including Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, Montauk, Sag Harbor, and Shelter Island.
Today, with 27 years of boating under her belt, Liz still enjoys spending as much time as possible on the water. This spring, she will complete a Coastal Cruising course at Chapman School of Seamanship, and in her four years at Power & Motoryacht, she's cruised many of the world's greatest waterways, including Alaska's Inside Passage, the Exuma and Abacos Islands in the Bahamas, Ireland's Shannon River, and more.
Liz lives in Hoboken, New Jersey, and works in New York City as a staff writer, editor, and assistant managing editor for Power & Motoryacht and its sister publication, Voyaging. Her specialties include boating gear, boat tests, charter and cruising features, and human-interest profiles.
