A funny thing happened to Darwin Deason, a Texan who runs the computer company ACS, several years ago. He told D Magazine, “We were going to the beach one day, and it was raining like hell, and these friends convinced me to go look at boats. I said, ‘Aw, I don’t want a boat.’ Well, at the end of the day, I had bought an 85-foot boat.” He’s stepped up twice in size since then, most recently to this lady, available for charter for $375,000 per week.
