Who says creative and colorful lighting schemes need to be reserved for the interior of your yacht? Private cruisers such as the 138-foot Forty Love, the 202-foot Solemar, and the 242-foot Ilona prove that when it comes to showing off your lovely lady, there is perhaps no better way than to equip her with globes that glow beneath the sea surface. Talk about a light show....
Companies such as Underwater Lights Limited and Underwater Lights USA (which are not related) install numerous applications aboard yachts of all sizes, regardless of whether the hull is fiberglass, aluminum, or steel, and regardless of whether your yacht is under construction or you’d like to retrofit her. You can choose from LED, halogen, xenon, or high-intensity discharge (HID) metal halide bulbs, and while the length of the light beams depends on which model you use and, of course, the clarity of the water, you can expect it to be between ten and 100 feet. They’ll also last between a few hundred and a few thousand hours, depending on how often you use them.
These are just a start. There are many more ways to make your yacht stand out from the crowd. And who among us doesn’t want to do that?
