Here's something that grabbed the attention of all of us marine journalists last week at the Monaco Yacht Show. Feadship announced that not only is it developing plans to build custom yachts exceeding 100 meters, but also it's working on designs for two semicustom lines measuring 35 meters and 43 meters. (For you Americans among the crowd, 100 meters is roughly 328 feet, 35 meters is about 115 feet, and 43 meters is about 141 feet.)
Boats that bring efficiency over a range of speeds are appealing to today’s coastal cruiser. Those with style and a bit of panache are sure to have their own admirers. The Absolute 52 Navetta will certainly fall into both categories.
