it was fabulous to say the least! all the model pics posted were shown at this show but i was bad, i left my camera in the car.... i realised it after paying the premium entry fee on Thursday [the general entry began the next day].
i saw everybody who was anybody including our forum member Henk from Feadship [hello Dick] but did not bother him as he was deep in conversation with someone. i did make eye contact with many people who know me from this forum and other contacts, but it was an impressive and busy show! i would guess that the attendance and reports announce that it was the best ever!
i really love[d] the exterior paint jobs. i also noted the new largest Sunseeker's glass married glass to glass windows with no exposed joinery, as being remarkable. while seeing the boat from a profile this yacht looks 'heavy', walking around her is another story. can't say much about the staff tho.
Diane mentioned Mine Games from Trinity.... there were so many yachts to feast on and the caliber of people first rate.
also, the eliptical window shapes are being utilised more creatively. some designs and profiles in the past show the wrong use of it, but Azimut and others are layering it to benefit the proper use and it proves more easy on the eye instead of distortment.
while my day was sun filled, the next had horrible rains of 2+ inches, but we went to the Everglades for some alligator tail lunch at 'the' place for tail. you have to experience Florida in all the seasons and years to really appreciate yachting. it is the place to be seen...
