Anthony's Fish Grotto's upper-crust next-door neighbor (same owner). Exotic undersea decor includes ceiling treatments made by a glass artist. Entrees are paired with suggested wines: warm lobster medallions in a phyllo pastry cup served with a Hess Chardonnay, 1998. Try the Tahitian Vanilla Bean Crème Brulee.
Claim to Fame: As San Diego's largest family-owned seafood restaurant chain and retail markets, these guys know fish.

Panoramic sunset views provide the accompanying "ahhh" to the "mmmm" of Sonoma-Continental Cuisine. Truly incredible. Monthly "Dinner with the Winemaker" series features different local wineries and five-course dinners.
Claim to Fame: "Filet Mignon Hitchcock," named for the famous moviemaker who filmed The Birds in Bodega Bay.
Portside overlooks the Charleston boat basin, so you can watch fishing boats deliver your fresh catch! Chefs turn it into Lobster Newburg, Crab Thermidore, and Bouillabaisse Marseillaise. Outside: clam digging or crabbing and fishing from the docks.
Claim to Fame: a casually elegant place where crusty fishermen mix with tuxedo-clad gents.
