If your yacht is big but not quite mega, Raymarine’s H6 might be just the right blend of production electronics (and a vast service network) with a custom glass-bridge look and feel. Dual computers running two or more 15-inch displays offer elegant integration of almost all navigation and entertainment possibilities. Notable features include data screen designs based on perceptual psychology research and a MOB alarm system wherein H6 constantly monitors tiny transmitters worn by crew members. The entertainment PC is capable of taking over the navigation chores if necessary. It also feeds movies, TV, or onboard camera output to the helm as well as to multiple plasma and LCD screens, not to mention managing H6’s 2,000-watt, 12-channel audio system. Systems start at about $75,000.
