Express Cruisers

Miami 2014 Guide

For many boaters, the express cruiser embodies what time on the water is all about—a sporty ride, a great platform to welcome guests, and the latest in on-the-water technology and design. If that sounds like what you’re looking for, make sure to check out some of these boats at this year’s show.

Absolute Yachts will have its new 64STY sport yacht on display at the show along with its 56STY sport yacht and the 40STL.

French boatbuilding powerhouse Beneteau will have its sleek new Gran Turismo 35 on display at the show.

Fairline is bringing their Targa 48 Open across the pond for her U.S. debut. The company will also have its Targa 62 Gran Turismo on display, along with the 38 Open.

Riva will have several slick Italian cruisers on the docks, including its 63 Virtus, the 27 Iseo, and the massive and impressive 86 Domino.

Prestige yachts will trot out its new 450S in Miami, hot off her debut at last year’s Ft. Lauderdale show. They’ll also be showing the 500S and 620S.

Tiara’s new 50 Coupe, which features the company’s integrated “glass bridge” helm, will be on display in Miami fresh from her U.S. debut last fall at the Ft. Lauderdale show (Check out a full test from the December 2013 issue here ➤).

Luxury Italian boatbuilder Azimut will have its sporty 55S and 62S italia on display, along with the Verve, 34, 48, and 58 from the Azimut Atlantis line.

The Cranchi 54 HT stakes her cruising cred on a litany of standard features and the maneuverability and efficiency provided by Volvo Penta IPS propulsion.

Italian RIB builder Pirelli will have a 37-foot model making her debut with Denison Yacht Sales. She’s got a lot to offer and the broker is betting that RIBs will begin to horn in on the U.S. market.

With lines that will attract attention and a quiet ride, the VanDutch 40 Walkaround seems like she can’t miss. The company has made a name for itself in Europe and is beginning a big push in North America.Riva 63 Virtus
