World’s 100 Largest Yachts 2007 #30: Golden Odyssey

#30: GOLDEN ODYSSEY—265'7"

Imagine a charter yacht so exclusive that her rates are as well-hidden as a needle in a haystack. That describes Golden Odyssey, which was spotted in Venice last April. She has a coral-reef aquarium rising through two deck levels, bound to be the topic of conversation during any trip. Amateur oceanographers or otherwise eco-minded guests will be pleased to learn that the yacht's owner, Prince Khalid bin Sultan of Saudi Arabia, the country's assistant defense minister, is just as concerned about preserving the ocean environment, particularly coral reefs.
