Riva 122 Mythos

Power & Motoryacht's first look at the Riva 122 Mythos.

Prometheus may have been the fire bringer and Hercules may have slain the Nemean lion and turned it into a fancy hat, but here’s something those mythic heroes never did: Build a 122-foot planing megayacht out of aluminum. That’s exactly the formidable task the mortals at Riva are now undertaking, with their upcoming launch, Mythos. The yacht will be the new flagship of this iconic Ferretti brand, and should well live up to her ambitious name.

Trinity 120

Power & Motoryacht's first impression of the Trinity 120. The 120 looks to be a fine vessel with all the characteristics of a top-notch launch. First and foremost, the 120 will have a striking and contemporary look to her, thanks to the lines provided by exterior designer Geoff van Aller.

Benetti Delfino 93

With four guest staterooms belowdecks and a main-deck master, the Benetti Delfino 93 Ocean Drive offered a strong starting point for her owner. But it was the semi-custom nature of the build and the technological advances available that really sold them.

Vicem Vulcan 46M

Power & Motoryacht's first look at the Vicem Vulcan 46M megayacht. The 46M was built in Vicem’s eco-conscious factory in Antalya, Turkey, using composite materials and resin-infused-sandwich techniques. This construction process lends the boat a high strength-to-weight ratio that helps her remain relatively fuel efficient, light, and fast while also being stout enough to handle rough seas.

Whale Watching: Designing Boats for the Very Wealthy

The doomed process of chasing the immensely wealthy. It’s fall and with it comes the annual migration of whales along the coasts of places like Ft. Lauderdale and Monaco. Not to be confused with the blue and gray whales off California or the humpback and finback whales of New England, these whales are harder to spot and sometimes never really sighted by anyone.

The Cost of Building a Megayacht

Considering what you could buy, building a world-class megayacht becomes more obviously an act of dedication and passion for spending time on the water. Herewith we present some other options—fewer headaches not guaranteed!

Delta’s 240-foot Laurel

Though not a new launch, this 240-foot Delta still looks the part. A Delta Megayacht Returns Home With Thousands Of Miles In Her Wake And Stories From Around The World.

Trinity Yachts Lady Linda

At 187 feet Lady Linda is a true megayacht, though her sleek lines lend her a grace that escapes some of her similarly sized contemporaries. She will likely be the belle of the ball at most any port she calls on.
