While West Bay opened its doors with a bang in the late 1960’s, the 1980’s are when it really got noticed. The West Bay Lloyd 4500, a 45-footer based on a crew boat hull the yard had successfully employed in the commercial sector, became a sought-after model. While she’s no longer being built, she was the starting point for the current 58 SonShip. —D.M.B. |
