82. FORTUNATE SUN
| L: 150'0" Y: 1992

yacht was expected to depart the Med by the end of October, after spending
the summer there. She underwent a refit two years ago to keep her in tip-top
shape for the charter market. B: Tacoma Boatbuilding/Puglia Shipbuilding,

83. LADY LINDA
| L: 150'0" Y: 1999

84. NOBLE HOUSE
| L: 150'0" Y: 1997
If you're
looking for inspiration for a great yacht party, consult the crew of Noble
House, which is famous--some may say infamous--for hosting
an annual affair in the Med for the crews of all the other yachts that
spend the summers there. This year's party featured a black-and-white
theme and literally thousands of sushi rolls, courtesy of the chef and
a small army of helpers. Their hard work was not lost on the partygoers,
who promptly gobbled up every last roll. B: Trinity Yachts, USA; N: Builder/Paragon
Design; H: Aluminum; E: 2/2,250-hp Caterpillars
85. AMORAZUR II
| L: 149'10" Y: 1994
A
complete decor change three years ago thanks to Terence Disdale gave this
Palmer Johnson a classic, understated look. Warm tones envelop each room,
and there's a piano in her saloon. For on-the-water fun, there's
a pair of hydrobikes. B: Palmer Johnson, USA; N: Builder/Tom Fexas Yacht
Design; H: Aluminum; E: 2/1,900-hp Deutz-MWMs
86. PERFECT PERSUASION
| L: 149'9" Y: 1997
Perfect Persuasion
now has a blue hull instead of the light-gray one that she's had
since her launch day, when she was known as Perfect Prescription. The
beautiful color caught people's attention in the Med this spring
and summer, as did a party the yacht hosted during the Cannes Film Festival;
in fact, the party made international headlines, thanks to Reuters. The
yacht was chartered by RaknRoll Entertainment, a Hollywood firm providing
public relations, celebrity management, marketing, and event planning
for major names in entertainment, journalism, and other fields. B: Oceanfast,
Australia; N: Phil Curran/Donald Starkey; H: Aluminum; E: 2/3,500-hp Alsthom
Paxmans
87. CHEROSA |
L: 149'7" Y: 1999
Cherosa calls West Palm Beach home for half of the year and Connecticut
home for the other half, although some intrepid yacht-watchers told us
they saw her in the Newport, Rhode Island, area late this summer. The
owners truly live aboard much of the time. B: Swiftships, USA; N: Tim
Borland/Builder; H: Aluminum; E: 2/2,250-hp MTUs
88. BIG D | L:
147'6" Y: 1988
Ten to
12 guests can enjoy her extensive deck areas, including a shaded sundeck.
Perhaps it's just coincidence, but the yacht's name is also
a nickname for Dallas, Texas. Then again, it's also the same as
the name of Canada's only 24-hour bingo hall (honest, look it up).
B: Hitachi Zosen, Japan; N: Jack Hargrave; H: Aluminum; E: 2/1,150-hp
Caterpillars
89. TRIUMPHANT LADY
|L : 147'6" Y: 1985

better ("Pita" stood for "pain in the a--.") B:
Sterling Yacht, Japan; N: Jon Bannenberg; H: Fiberglass; E: 2/1,300-hp
Caterpillars
90. RUSALKA |
