A fleet of pristine picnic and day boats from Hinckley dress up the Mystic waterfront.
Mystic, Connecicut. Even on its worst day, this historic port of call is home to tall ships, beautifully restored sailing craft, and whaling ships from a bygone era. But this past weekend, a beautiful bluebird series of days, there was even more eye candy on the dock than usual thanks to the annual Hinckley rendezvous. Tied up along the seaport, each boat was meticulously maintained.
When not ogling the different craft in attendance, owners and company brass got to reconnect and share boating memories—an age-old tradition if ever there was one.
Stop two of the rendezvous is Newport, Rhode Island.
