You know the Grundéns name from the thick rubber bib pants worn by fishermen the world over. When it comes to gear for adverse conditions, there is something to be learned from those hardworking deckhands. But sometimes those heavy orange bibs are a bit of overkill. Enter the Weather Watch Bibs, part of the company’s new line of Gage technical gear. Made of a more manageable, treated nylon fabric, these bibs offer similar coverage but in a lighter, more flexible, fit. They’re rugged, so they still fill the bill in the cockpit when the bite is on, but you won’t mind throwing them on to wash down the boat when the temperature creeps above Bering Sea levels.
