I was wondering whether there is a perspective for more multi-hulled megayachts to be build in the future, given the obvious advantages they have over monohulls concerning stability at bad wheather conditions or the higher speed with lower fuel consumption. Not that fuel prices would be a problem for an owner of a 60 meter yacht anyway but there seem to be designs on the way that do actually point in that direction, Craig Loomes' work in New Zealand for example.
Do you think there will be more yachts like White Rabbit coming up in the future? I heard Loomes Design has completed a design for a 130 meter trimaran wavepiercer... I would love to see how such a behemoth would look like...
If you haven’t yet seen the Evo 43 then you’re in luck. This boat uses some really inventive design to amp up function in a sharp dayboat with a nice turn of speed. But when you anchor out, the Evo plays her trump card.
Check out the surprises she has in store here. ▶
