The Lone Ranger to visit Antarctica

Peter B. Lewis apparently has made very concrete plans to take his yacht the LONE RANGER out to Antarctica.

The LONE RANGER, a former salvage tug from Schichau Bremerhaven, that was converted by the late Claus Kusch for Jack Setton in the early nineties and renamed SIMSON S, was acquired by Lewis about 8 years ago.

The yacht was often to be seen in North American and Mediterranean waters and cruised from the South Pacific to Scandinavia.

She is scheduled to visit Antarctica out of Ushuaia from February 1st with return to Ushuaia on February 15th.

Depending on weather and ice conditions they have plans to visit many places of the continent, including Elephant Island, Gibbs Island, Gerlache Strait, Hope Bay, Antarctic Sound,
